This expedition to South Africa and Mozambique has you getting up close and personal with wildlife! You’ll explore this country’s unique landscapes and cultural meccas, and experience the African wilderness and coastline through the eyes of its most passionate protectors. Your South African stay gives you a chance to experience a deep connection to local communities and to the wildlife that calls this place home. You’ll have the opportunity to gaze at elephants, track lions, surf warm waves, snorkel in the clear Mozambique waters, and serve some amazing communities and nature preserves. Explore an authentic and wild game reserve looking for rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra and lion. This safari will give you an authentic look into the lives of animals in their natural habitat, and the opportunity to participate in conservation efforts to protect the native species. Sleep on tent platforms in the African bush, and work with veterinarians on a special rhino bio-data collection project.

cultural immersion

Connect with South African culture where you’ll spend your days assisting with projects including working in the garden and painting a bedroom. You will also enjoy the simple joys of connecting with locals, playing soccer with the kids. Make lasting memories and impressions with these children, and savor your time with them.

snorkeling

Tofo Beach and the surrounding area in Mozambique offers amazing beaches, warm water, and ample opportunities to catch waves, explore the underwater world, and search for dolphin pods, manta rays, and whale sharks!

surfing

Head to the water and catch some waves on Tofo Beach! Take surfing lessons and practice cruising the waves in style while in Mozambique. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to surf in the magnificent Indian Ocean!
